Scripture: Jeremiah 32:27 KJV

“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?”

Devotion :

Have you ever seen a catastrophe and thought:

“Oh my goodness…this can NEVER be fixed.” 🥺

Are you facing something right now that you have NO SOLUTION to and feel there is no hope for it?

We have control over many things that happen in our lives, but some things WE DON’T.

Job had no control over what happened to him.

Joseph had no control over what happened to him either.

Job lost everything because the devil wanted to break his faith and prove that he would give up on God.

BUT HE DIDN’T.

And God turned everything around and blessed Job with twice as much as he had before. 🙌🏽

Joseph had no control over his brothers being jealous of him and selling him into slavery.

Imagine that!

Your own brothers turn against you, sell you, and suddenly the life you knew is completely gone.

Joseph eventually ended up falsely accused and imprisoned too.

If you had looked at Joseph’s situation somewhere in the middle, you might have thought:

“THIS MAN’S LIFE IS OVER.”

But God wasn’t finished!

The same Joseph who was sold as a slave eventually became a ruler in Egypt, second only to Pharaoh.

GOD TURNED IT AROUND.

I don’t know what you may be facing…

BUT I DO KNOW THE GOD WHO CAN TURN THINGS AROUND.

The question is:

WILL YOU TRUST HIM?

Let’s read today’s Scripture together WITH FAITH.

God says in Jeremiah 32:27:

“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?”

WHEWWW! 🙌🏽🔥

GOD ASKED THE QUESTION HIMSELF!

“IS THERE ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR ME?”

And the answer is:

NO!

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Now let’s understand what makes this Scripture even more powerful.

Jeremiah wasn’t hearing these words while everything looked wonderful.

Jerusalem was under siege.

Things looked BAD.

Yet God instructed Jeremiah to buy a field.

Now why would you buy property in a land that appears to be falling apart? 👀

Because God was showing Jeremiah:

“WHAT YOU SEE RIGHT NOW IS NOT THE END OF THE STORY.”

My, my, my! 😮‍💨🙌🏽

God was promising restoration.

Jeremiah could see destruction.

GOD COULD SEE WHAT WAS COMING AFTER IT.

Jeremiah could see the current situation.

GOD COULD SEE THE FUTURE.

That’s why we have to be careful about declaring something OVER just because we can’t see a way forward.

YOU DON’T KNOW EVERYTHING GOD KNOWS.

You see RIGHT NOW.

God sees NEXT.

🙏🏽

Maybe you lost your job unexpectedly.

You’ve applied everywhere.

Bills are still coming.

Savings are disappearing.

Nothing seems to be opening.

And you’re thinking:

“Lord, what am I going to do?”

You don’t know.

BUT GOD DOES.

Maybe your family has been dealing with something for years.

You’ve talked.

You’ve prayed.

You’ve tried to fix it.

And now you’re thinking:

“This situation is too far gone.”

Maybe it is too hard FOR YOU.

BUT YOU ARE NOT GOD.

WHEWWW! 😮‍💨🔥

That’s the part we forget!

When we say:

“I don’t see how this can work out,”

sometimes what we really mean is:

“I can’t figure out how to fix it.”

Those are NOT THE SAME THING.

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

YOUR INABILITY IS NOT GOD’S INABILITY.

You may not have the money.

You may not have the connection.

You may not have the answer.

You may not have the opportunity.

You may not have the strength.

You may not know what happens next.

BUT GOD IS NOT LIMITED TO WHAT YOU HAVE.

And please understand: trusting God doesn’t mean every situation will turn out exactly the way we planned it.

Joseph probably wouldn’t have written slavery and prison into his life plan.

Job certainly wouldn’t have chosen what he endured.

But neither man’s painful chapter was the end of his story.

DON’T JUDGE YOUR WHOLE STORY BY THE CHAPTER YOU’RE IN RIGHT NOW.

Some situations require us to do what we can.

Pray.

Seek wisdom.

Make the call.

Apply.

Apologize.

Go to the doctor.

Get counseling.

Change what needs changing.

Take the next responsible step.

But after you’ve done what you can…

YOU HAVE TO TRUST GOD WITH WHAT YOU CANNOT DO.

That’s faith.

Faith doesn’t mean pretending the problem isn’t real.

The problem may be VERY REAL.

Faith says:

“THIS IS BIG…BUT MY GOD IS BIGGER.”

The doctors may not have an easy answer.

God is still God.

The financial situation may look terrible.

God is still God.

The door may have closed unexpectedly.

God is still God.

Your plans may have completely fallen apart.

GOD IS STILL GOD.

And He asks:

“IS THERE ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR ME?”

So today, stop measuring God’s ability by the size of your problem.

Stop telling God how impossible it is.

HE ALREADY KNOWS WHAT YOU’RE FACING.

Instead, tell your situation WHO YOUR GOD IS.

He is the God who sustained Job.

He is the God who elevated Joseph.

He is the God who promised restoration when Jeremiah was surrounded by destruction.

And He is still God TODAY.

I don’t know HOW He’s going to do it.

I don’t know WHEN He’s going to do it.

I don’t know what the finished story will look like.

BUT I KNOW NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD!

So don’t give up because you can’t see the answer.

Don’t lose your faith because you can’t figure it out.

You were never required to know everything God knows.

YOU ARE REQUIRED TO TRUST HIM.

And today…

I’M CHOOSING TO TRUST GOD WITH WHAT I CANNOT FIX.

Reflect & Respond :

What situation in your life have you quietly labeled:

“IMPOSSIBLE”?

Write it down.

Now ask yourself:

Have I been measuring God’s ability by my own ability?

Have I assumed there’s no way simply because I can’t see one?

Have I done what is mine to do, and trusted God with what only He can do?

Now speak Jeremiah 32:27 over your situation:

“I AM THE LORD, THE GOD OF ALL FLESH: IS THERE ANY THING TOO HARD FOR ME?”

And answer it with faith:

NO, LORD. NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR YOU! 🙌🏽🔥

Prayer :

Father God, You see the situation I’m facing right now. You know what I cannot fix, what I don’t understand, and what I cannot see my way through. Forgive me for allowing fear to become bigger than my faith. Lord, increase my faith and help me trust You. Turn my situation around according to Your perfect will. Open doors, give me wisdom, restore what needs restoration, and make a way where I cannot see one. I place what I cannot control into Your hands because I believe NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR YOU.

In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen. 🙏🏽💙
