🕊️ PRAY HERE Devotion 🕊️ How Grateful Are You

Scripture: Luke 17:15–16

“And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.”

Devotion: There is always that one who will appreciate what their parents do for them. Then you have those who are NEVER satisfied.

Jesus went to the cross and died for our sins. How grateful to Him are you for paying the price for yours?

Really take a moment and assess your response to God for anything He does for you.

Our Savior does not have pick and choose. He blesses us all, but everyone’s response is not the same.

Just like in today’s scripture, Jesus healed 10 lepers. 10!

All of them were sick.

All of them needed healing.

All of them received a miracle.

But only one came back.

Only one turned around.

Only one lifted his voice.

Only one fell at Jesus’ feet and said, “Thank You.”

The other nine… went on about their lives.

And if we are honest, this is where it hits home.

God has healed you, covered you, protected you, provided for you, opened doors for you, and kept you when you should have lost your mind…

But how often do you go back and tell Him thank You?

Not just a quick “thank You, Lord” in passing; but a real moment where you stop, turn back, and acknowledge Him.

Because gratitude is not just words… it’s a response.

It’s a posture.

It’s humility.

It’s recognition that “God, I didn’t do this; you did.”

Now here’s the question that makes you look at yourself for real:

Which leper are you?

Are you the one who was glad and came back to thank and praise Him?

Or are you one of the nine who took the blessing and never cared to thank Him?

God bless you!

Prayer: Father God, thank You for every blessing You have given us, seen and unseen. Thank You for Your sacrifice, Your mercy, and Your grace. Lord, forgive us for the times we have received from You and did not come back to thank You properly. Help us to have a heart of true gratitude. Teach us to pause, reflect, and acknowledge You in all things. Let our lives be a continual expression of thanks and praise unto You. We choose to be the one who comes back.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
