šŸ•Šļø PRAY HERE DEVOTION šŸ•Šļøā€ØThere’s Always A Way Out

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)

ā€œNo temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.ā€

Devotion: Have you ever found yourself in a situation thinking, ā€œI should have followed my first mindā€?

Or maybe there was a moment when you weren’t 100% sure about something. You felt that small nudge to pause, reconsider, or walk away; but you ignored it. You did it anyway. And later, you realized the trouble you were in could have been avoided.

Most of the time, it wasn’t that God didn’t warn us.

It’s that we didn’t listen.

You know yourself. You know your temperament. You know your weaknesses. You know the environments that pull at you. For example, if you struggle with anger, you probably shouldn’t engage in heated social media debates that you know will trigger you. If you battle overspending, you probably shouldn’t scroll online shopping apps when you’re emotional or bored.

God’s Word tells us something powerful in 1 Corinthians 10:13. It says that no temptation is uncommon. That means what you’re facing isn’t unique. Others have faced it and survived it. It also says God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear.

Notice that.

He doesn’t remove all temptation.

But He does limit it.

And He always provides a way out.

The problem is, we often ignore the way out.

Sometimes the ā€œway outā€ is a thought that says, ā€œLeave.ā€

Sometimes it’s a friend who calls at the right time.

Sometimes it’s a sudden conviction in your spirit.

Sometimes it’s simply not going in the first place.

But too often, we put ourselves in situations we know we don’t have the discipline to handle.

If you’re trying to stop smoking, don’t hang with smokers.

If you’re trying to abstain from fornication, don’t set dates to ā€œNetflix and Chill.ā€

If you’re working on gossiping less, don’t sit in circles where tearing people down is entertainment.

If you’re trying to manage your temper, don’t keep entertaining conversations that you know will escalate you.

Wisdom matters.

God is faithful to provide a way out, but we have to be disciplined enough to take it. Sometimes the way out looks boring. Sometimes it looks lonely. Sometimes it looks like saying ā€œnoā€ when everyone else says ā€œyes.ā€ But that ā€œnoā€ could save you from unnecessary regret, shame, and consequences.

Temptation is common.

God is faithful.

The escape is available.

We just have to choose it.

There is always a way out, but we must be wise enough and disciplined enough to take it.

Prayer: Father, thank You for being faithful even when I am weak. Help me to recognize the way out when temptation comes. Give me the discipline to say no to what I know will harm me and the wisdom to avoid situations that test my limits. Strengthen my will and align my desires with Your Word. I want to live wisely and honor You with my choices.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
