🕊️ PRAY HERE DEVOTION 🕊️ Contagious Faith – Influencer Series

Scripture: John 4:39–42 (NIV)

“Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony… They said to the woman, ‘We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.’”

Devotion: Whether you realize it or not, you are contagious. Something about you is influencing, rubbing off on, and affecting the people around you every single day. Have you ever been around someone so joyful and enthusiastic that it lifted your spirit too? Or been around someone so negative or depressed that it drained you? That’s because what’s on us transfers.

The Scripture “bad company corrupts good character” comes to mind. The Bible confirms that we are contagious. What’s on you can rub off on the people around you. So it’s worth asking yourself: What am I spreading?

Am I argumentative or peaceful?

Fearful or full of faith?

Hope-filled or doubtful?

Whatever the answer is, it’s impacting more than just you.

Today’s scripture highlights one of my favorite influencers in the Bible , the Samaritan woman. After her encounter with Jesus, her joy, faith, and testimony were so powerful that many Samaritans believed because of her. She didn’t go to seminary. She wasn’t a preacher. She didn’t have a platform. She simply told her story.

Because of her contagious faith, people didn’t just believe her words ;  they went and experienced Jesus for themselves. Verse 42 says, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”

That’s influence.

That’s contagious faith.

This is the kind of influence our world needs today ; not arguments, not judgment, not forced religion , but authentic faith backed by testimony. When people see what God has done for you, it makes them curious enough to seek Him for themselves.

So today, choose intentionally what kind of influencer you will be. Let your faith spread. Let your testimony speak. Let your joy be visible. When your faith is real, it becomes contagious , and it can lead others straight to Jesus.

Prayer: Father God, help me to be a positive influence in the lives of others. Let my faith be genuine, my testimony be bold, and my life reflect Your goodness. Remove anything in me that spreads fear, doubt, or negativity. Use me to draw others closer to You, just as You did through the Samaritan woman.
