Trust & Triumph

Scripture: Psalm 34:19 (KJV)

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.”

Devotion: We were never promised that we wouldn’t go through trials. Life comes in seasons, and with those seasons come tests, pressure, and afflictions. From the past to the present, believers have always faced hardship; but they have also experienced deliverance by the hand of God.

We overcome these tough seasons through our faith in God, prayer, His holy Word, and powerful testimonies. That is why it is so important to share what God has brought us through. Your testimony may be the very thing that strengthens someone who is currently walking through what you’ve already survived. Hallelujah!

Today’s scripture is one of David’s many testimonies. By this point in his life, God had already delivered him from numerous dangers, enemies, and afflictions. Because of that, David could speak with confidence and truth. He said, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous.” In other words, yes: God’s people will face pain, suffering, and hardship. Being righteous does not make us exempt from trouble.

But David didn’t stop there. He followed it up with the promise: “But the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” Not some of them. Not most of them. All of them.

This scripture has encouraged me personally to stay strong in my faith during difficult seasons. And now, because God has delivered me, I can tell others with confidence that He will do it for them too.

Be encouraged today. No matter what you are facing, God sees you, God is with you, and God will deliver you. Keep your relationship strong with Him, and you will witness His divine intervention. Trust Him, and you will triumph.

God bless you.

Prayer: Father God, thank You for being my Deliverer. Strengthen my faith when afflictions arise and remind me that You are faithful to bring me through every trial. Help me to trust You completely and to share my testimony so that others may be encouraged. I place my hope and confidence in You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

When I look back at what God has brought me through like the Psalmist said “It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.” I see those paths that I walked on as God pruning me for what was ahead of me, so many addictions He has deliver me from to prepare me for this new life that I now have in Christ. My thoughts are getting more aligned with His word, my flesh becoming more submissive to His will and I’m trusting Him more as I read His word each day. Glory to God🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
