šŸ•ŠļøPRAY HERE DevotionšŸ•Šļøā€Øā€œThe Proof Is in the Doingā€

Scripture: Titus 1:16 (NLT)

ā€œSuch people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they liveā€¦ā€

There’s a simple truth we all know but often forget: our actions must back up our words for our words to mean anything. It is incredibly easy to say something with no real intention of proving it. For example, people boldly profess, ā€œI’m a believer. I’m a child of God.ā€ Yet their lifestyle reflects something completely different. Others say, ā€œOh, I can cookā€, but the proof is in the meal they put on the table and the witness of those who taste it. Someone can say, ā€œI love you,ā€ but real love stands firm when it is challenged and tested.

At the end of the day, talk is cheap. As the old saying goes, ā€œA lie ain’t nothing for people to tell.ā€ Sometimes we aren’t intentionally lying. We may say what we feel or what we think is true, but if we truly stand behind it, then proving it should never be a problem. Your actions will always reveal the truth.

The proof is in what we DO.

Today’s scripture says, ā€œSuch people claim they know God, but they deny Him by the way they live.ā€ They are saying with their mouths, ā€œI know Him,ā€ yet their lifestyle is exposing the opposite. Their actions deny Him. Their choices deny Him. Their character denies Him.

As believers, it is essential that our lives match our words. One of the biggest reasons unchurched people avoid church is because they’ve seen people who call themselves Christians live double lives; saved on Sunday, but living any kind of way Monday through Saturday. This creates confusion, misrepresentation, and spiritual damage.

God desires something better from us.

1 Peter 2:15 reminds us:

ā€œFor this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.ā€

God is calling us to DO GOOD. Not talk about it; DO it. When our actions are rooted in goodness, obedience, and righteousness, it silences critics, shuts down ignorance, and magnifies God.

We don’t want to be numbered among those Titus described: disobedient, immoral, and living contrary to the truth. The Word of God gives us understanding so we can apply it properly, grow spiritually, and reflect His glory in our everyday lives.

Let your words and your walk agree.

Let your confession and your conduct line up.

Be the person who can confidently stand behind everything they say; because

THE PROOF IS IN THE DOING.

Prayer: Father, thank You for reminding me that my actions matter. Help me to live a life that reflects Your character, Your love, and Your truth. If there is anything in me that denies You through my lifestyle, reveal it and correct it. Strengthen me to walk uprightly, obey Your Word, and live in a way that honors You daily. Let my life be proof of my relationship with You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
