🕊️ PRAY HERE Devotion 🕊️ The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God

Scripture: Genesis 1:2

“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

Devotion: Many believers are still unclear or even confused about who and what the Holy Spirit is.

And because of that confusion, many people don’t realize how much they need Him… or even why they need Him.

Let’s make it simple.

Today’s scripture shows us that the Spirit of God was present in the very beginning. Before things had form… before light was spoken… before the earth was shaped… the Spirit of God was already there, moving.

That means the Holy Spirit is not something new.

He is not secondary.

He is not optional.

He is God.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.

He has been here since the beginning, and now, through Jesus, He dwells within us.

That alone should shift your understanding.

This is not just a “feeling.”

This is not just something that happens in church.

This is God’s Spirit living in you, giving you divine help and power.

The Holy Spirit teaches you.

He guides you.

He corrects you.

He strengthens you.

He speaks to you.

He gives you power to live a life that pleases God.

And the truth is… you cannot do this life the way God intended without Him.

Trying to live for God without the Holy Spirit is like trying to walk in the dark with no light. You’ll stumble, get frustrated, and feel lost.

But when you have the Holy Spirit, you have direction.

You have clarity.

You have power.

So the question is not, “Do I understand everything about the Holy Spirit?”

The real question is, “Have I received Him?”

Because He is available to you.

You don’t have to struggle on your own.

You don’t have to figure everything out by yourself.

God has given you His Spirit.

Receive Him.

Depend on Him.

Let Him lead you.

Prayer: Father God, thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit. Thank You that You did not leave us to figure life out on our own, but gave us Your Spirit to guide, teach, and strengthen us. Lord, open our understanding and remove any confusion about who the Holy Spirit is. Help us to receive Him fully and to depend on Him daily. Let Your Spirit live in us, move through us, and give us the power to walk in obedience to You. We surrender to Your Spirit and welcome Your presence in our lives.
