🕊️ PRAY HERE DEVOTION 🕊️ Peace on Earth

Scripture: Luke 2:14 (NKJV)

“Glory to God in the highest,

And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

Devotion: Think about the benefits of being directly connected to the source of peace; and everything good. The truth is, we canlive a somewhat decent life without accepting Jesus or acknowledging God. But we cannot escape the reality that God created heaven and earth; and that includes you and me. We would not be here had He not created man and woman.

The evil we see in the world around us is largely the result of people rejecting God or not knowing Him at all.

Let’s rewind. In the beginning, God created us in His image. Our disobedience brought sin into the world. Our adversary, Satan, was cast out of heaven and came to earth to destroy everything God made and loves. Scripture tells us that Satan came to steal, kill, and destroy.

In response, God sent His only Son to be born in the flesh; to save us all from sin.

Yet God is so gentle and gracious that He does not force Himself on us. Our Heavenly Father gives us a choice to choose Him. Those who do are granted the fulfillment of many beautiful promises through faith and acceptance of Jesus Christ our Lord.

In today’s scripture, angels announced the birth of Jesus with praise and declared Him to be the true source of peace and goodwill. Even the people who did not want Jesus to be born still needed the peace He brought into the world.

Thank You, Jesus, for peace.

Prayer: Father God, thank You for sending Jesus to bring peace into a broken world. Thank You for being the source of everything good in my life. Help me to choose You daily and to remain connected to You, the true source of peace. Let Your peace rule my heart, my mind, and my home. Use me to reflect Your peace to others.
