šŸ•Šļø PRAY HERE DEVOTION šŸ•Šļø Listen Closely; and You’ll Hear God Guiding You

Scripture: Isaiah 30:21 (NIV)

ā€œWhether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ā€˜This is the way; walk in it.ā€™ā€

Devotion: Have you ever been in a situation where you didn’t know what to do… but deep down, you felt something telling you what the right choice was?

That quiet nudge…

That inner check…

That voice that says, ā€œDon’t do that,ā€ or ā€œGo this way instead.ā€

That’s God.

The problem is… we don’t always listen closely enough to hear Him.

Let me give you a real example.

You’re about to send a message out of anger. You typed it all out. You’re ready to hit send… but something says, ā€œDon’t send that.ā€

If you ignore it, you may create conflict, damage a relationship, or say something you can’t take back.

Another example…

You’re about to make a decision that looks good on the outside: more money, a new opportunity, but something in your spirit feels off. You can’t explain it, but you feel uneasy. That’s not confusion… that’s guidance.

But if you override that voice, you may walk into something God was trying to protect you from.

Now let’s look at today’s scripture.

In Isaiah 30, God was speaking to His people because they were making decisions without consulting Him. They were relying on their own plans, their own understanding, and even looking to other sources for help instead of God.

And God was basically saying…

Even when you don’t know which way to go…

Even when you’re at a crossroads…

I will guide you.

ā€œWhether you turn to the right or to the leftā€¦ā€

That means in every decision, every direction, every step…

ā€œYour ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ā€˜This is the way; walk in it.ā€™ā€

God is not silent.

He speaks.

He leads.

He guides.

We just often times don’t always hear Him, due to: distractions, lack of faith, and distance that sin will cause between us and God.

You have to be close enough, quiet enough, and sensitive enough to hear Him.

If your life is too loud…

If your mind is too distracted…

If your flesh is too in control…

You might miss His voice.

God’s guidance is not always loud and dramatic. Sometimes it’s gentle, still, and easy to ignore.

That’s why we have to listen closely.

Because His voice will:

  • Lead you the right way

  • Warn you before trouble comes

  • Keep you from unnecessary mistakes

  • Guide you into purpose and peace

You don’t have to figure everything out on your own.

God is speaking.

The question is…

Are you listening?

God bless you.

Prayer: Father, help me to hear Your voice clearly. Quiet every distraction in my life that keeps me from listening to You. Make me sensitive to Your guidance and obedient when You speak. Lead me in the right direction in every decision I make. I don’t want to rely on my own understanding; I want to follow You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
