🕊️ PRAY HERE Devotion 🕊️ Jesus Presence is for Purpose

Scripture: Matthew 9:25

“But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.”

Devotion: If a mailman comes to your house, they come to deliver mail. If an exterminator comes to your house, they come to get rid of pests and bugs. If an electrician comes, they come to restore power.

You see where I’m going…

When Jesus shows up, He comes with purpose.

He comes to save because He is the Savior.

He comes to heal.

He comes to restore.

He comes to bring life.

In today’s scripture, Jesus entered the room to heal the girl and raise her from the dead. His presence is powerful, and it brings life.

But here’s the truth… we sometimes waste His presence.

He will show up in our churches, in our homes, in our prayer time, and even in our situations; but we often don’t give Him permission or allow Him to do what He came to do.

The Bible tells us that Jesus came to save the world. He didn’t come just to be observed. He didn’t come just for us to shout, cry, or feel good in a moment. He came to transform, to heal, to deliver, and to set free.

Before Jesus went in to raise the girl, the people who were doubting and making noise had to be put out. That alone says a lot.

Sometimes, the reason we don’t see the full power of Jesus in our lives is because we have too much doubt, too much distraction, and too much noise in the room.

We want Him present… but not in control.

We want Him near… but not leading.

We want His power… but not His authority.

But when Jesus steps in and is given full access, things that were dead can live again.

Dead situations can rise.

Dead hope can be restored.

Dead faith can come alive again.

His presence is not just to be felt; it is to be received and responded to.

So the next time Jesus shows up in your life, don’t just acknowledge Him… allow Him.

Let Him do what He came to do.

Prayer: Father God, thank You for the powerful presence of Jesus in our lives. Thank You that when You show up, You come with purpose—to heal, to save, and to restore. Lord, forgive us for the times we have limited You or not fully allowed You to move. Remove doubt, distractions, and anything that blocks Your power from working in our lives. Help us to surrender fully and give You complete access. Let every dead thing in us be revived by Your presence. We trust You to do what only You can do.
