🕊️ PRAY HERE Devotion 🕊️ He Gave Us His Power

Scripture: Acts 3:6–7

“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.”

Devotion: Now after the crucifixion, the Upper Room experience, and the outpouring of the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost, signs and wonders followed the believers.

So for those who did not believe in Jesus before… they were proven wrong.

More people were saved, miracles were taking place, and the church grew rapidly.

Why?

Because the power of Jesus was real.

Jesus told us that greater works would we do, and here we see Peter and John walking in that authority and power.

As they were entering the temple for prayer and worship, they came across a lame man begging for money and mercy.

Now let’s pause right there.

Have you ever seen someone use their situation for pity to get money and help from others?

Some people make a lifestyle out of staying stuck because they have become comfortable depending on people instead of allowing God to truly change their condition.

But Peter was not about to just throw money at the problem.

Whew!

Instead of giving him temporary help, Jesus healed him through Peter.

Peter basically said:

“I don’t have money to give you, but I do have something greater.”

“In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”

And immediately the man was healed.

That is powerful.

Because money can temporarily help a person, but the power of God can completely change their life.

And honestly, many of us have been praying for temporary relief when God wants to bring total transformation.

We ask for survival money…

God wants to heal the condition.

We ask for temporary comfort…

God wants to deliver us fully.

We ask people to carry us…

God wants us to get up and walk.

Glory to God!

Peter understood something many believers still struggle to realize today:

Jesus did not leave us powerless.

He gave us His power through the Holy Ghost.

That means we should not just be talking about Jesus; we should be walking in faith, authority, and expectation that God still moves.

The same Jesus that healed then… still heals now.

The same Jesus that delivered then… still delivers now.

The same Jesus that worked through Peter and John… can work through believers today.

The question is:

Do you believe it?

Because signs and wonders follow those who truly believe.

Prayer: Father God, thank You for the power and authority that comes through Jesus Christ. Thank You for not leaving me powerless, but giving me help through the Holy Ghost. Lord, increase my faith so that I truly believe You still heal, deliver, and perform miracles today. Help me to stop settling for temporary fixes when You desire complete transformation in my life. Teach me to walk in boldness, obedience, and faith. Let Your power work through me for Your glory and let my life be evidence that You are still moving today.
