🕊️ PRAY HERE DEVOTION 🕊️ God Sends His Angels to Protect Us

Scripture: Daniel 6:22 (ESV)

“My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless before Him; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm.”

Devotion: A good father provides protection for his children. Our Heavenly Father does the same. God commands His angels to minister to us in various ways; and yes, to protect us.

Imagine being in trouble that you did nothing to cause, yet still being at peace because you know your Father is going to rescue you. God is all-knowing and omnipresent. He is more than capable of providing what we need in any circumstance. Even if He has to send one of His angels, He will.

In today’s scripture, Daniel found himself in a lion’s den because of jealousy. Certain officials were jealous of Daniel’s favor and his position. Jealousy will make people plot against you. Since they could not find any fault in Daniel, they took something good, his faithfulness to God, and used it against him.

They convinced King Darius to sign a decree banning prayer, knowing Daniel prayed faithfully every day. Daniel continued to pray anyway and was thrown into the lion’s den because of it. His haters thought their plan had worked. Even the king told Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, deliver you.”

At daybreak, Daniel told the king that God had sent an angel to shut the mouths of the lions. He said, “I have not been harmed.” The king was overjoyed and immediately released Daniel.

Then the men who accused Daniel, along with their families, were thrown into the same lion’s den. The very fate they planned for Daniel came upon them instead. There is never a good outcome when people plot against others, especially against God’s children.

Continue to be faithful to God without fear of consequences. No matter what you are facing today, God will get you out. And if He has to send an angel to do it; He will.

Prayer: Father God, thank You for being my Protector. Thank You for assigning angels to watch over me and guard me in every situation. Help me to remain faithful to You even when opposition rises against me. Strengthen my trust in You and remind me that You are always fighting for me. I place my life fully in Your hands.
