🕊️ PRAY HERE Devotion 🕊️ God Sanctifies Your Spirit

Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:23

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Devotion: Have you ever heard someone described like this: “He got a good spirit,” or “She is so kind-hearted”?

On the other hand, you’ve probably heard people say, “Something about them just feels off,” or “They carry bad energy.”

Now that you’re thinking about it… what is spirit? What does your spirit consist of?

Let’s make it clear.

Your spirit is your attitude and the energy you give off.

It’s how people feel around you.

It’s what comes out of you before you even open your mouth.

Some people walk in a room and bring peace.

Some walk in and bring confusion.

Some people carry joy, kindness, and calm.

Others carry bitterness, anger, and heaviness.

People say things like, “I’m an energy person,” and honestly, bad energy and good energy fall under spirit.

Your spirit is the highest part of you and your direct connection to God.

That’s why evil spirits such as lying, hate, jealousy, pride, depression, and unforgiveness want to invade and change your spirit; because if the enemy can corrupt your spirit, he can interfere with your connection to God.

Wait!

We cannot have anything blocking our connection to our Heavenly Father.

This is why it is so important to let God sanctify your spirit.

A sanctified spirit looks like peace when chaos is happening around you.

It looks like humility when pride has every reason to rise up.

It looks like kindness when people have been cruel to you.

It looks like truth instead of deception.

It looks like joy that does not depend on circumstances.

A sanctified spirit is someone who can be under pressure and still carry God well.

That’s powerful.

Because people may not know all your scriptures, but they will feel your spirit.

They will know if you carry peace.

They will know if you carry bitterness.

They will know if God is working on you.

So ask yourself honestly:

“What kind of spirit do I carry?”

Because God does not just want your church attendance; He wants your spirit clean.

He wants your attitude sanctified.

He wants your heart right.

He wants your connection with Him clear and unhindered.

Let Him do the work.

Prayer: Father God, thank You for caring about every part of us, especially our spirit. Lord, search us and reveal anything in us that is not like You. Remove bitterness, pride, anger, jealousy, and anything else trying to block our connection with You. Sanctify our spirit so that we reflect Your peace, love, and truth. Help us to carry good fruit and good energy that honors You. Let our spirit be clean, our hearts be right, and our connection with You remain strong.
