šŸ•ŠļøPRAY HERE DevotionšŸ•Šļø ā€œGod’s Faithfulness to Our Obedienceā€

Scripture: ā€œSo the Lord gave Israel all the land He had sworn to give their ancestors, and they took possession of it and settled there. The Lord gave them rest on every side, just as He had sworn to their ancestors. Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.ā€ — Joshua 21:43–45 (NIV)

Devotion:

Have you ever worked really hard to get something, but once you got it, you started slacking off? Or maybe you prayed and sought the Lord for something : a job, healing, peace, or provision ; and once He answered your prayer, you stopped seeking Him with the same consistency?

Think about this: how do you attain good credit? By paying your bills on time and staying out of debt. You don’t work hard to build your credit and then start missing payments and expect to keep a high score. It’s the same way in your walk with God : whatever you did to get the blessings, you have to continue doing it to keep them and receive more.

When we put our trust in a faithful God, we have assurance that He will keep His promises. But God also honors our faithfulness and our obedience.

In today’s scripture, the Israelites had finally made it into the Promised Land. After years of wandering, battles, and waiting, they were now standing in the place God had promised to give them. Joshua reminded them that God fulfilled every single promise He made ; not one failed. That’s powerful!

He wanted them to remember that the same God who brought them there would continue to take care of them if they remained faithful and obedient. The message was clear: Don’t stop trusting now. Don’t stop obeying now.

Maybe you’ve been struggling with being consistent in your obedience. Or maybe you’ve only been seeking God when you’re in need. Let this devotion be your reminder that obedience brings blessings and faithfulness keeps them.

Just as God was faithful to the Israelites, He will be faithful to you ; but your continued obedience is the key that keeps the blessings flowing.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for being faithful to every promise You’ve made. Thank You for all the blessings You have given me. Lord, forgive me for the times I’ve slowed down in my obedience after You’ve answered my prayers. Help me to stay faithful, consistent, and obedient to Your Word. Teach me to trust You more and to honor You in every season of my life. I know You will remain faithful as I walk in obedience to You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
