🕊️PRAY HERE Devotion🕊️ “God Is Greater Than What’s Against You”

Scripture: “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” – 1 John 4:4 (NIV)

Devotion: You may not be going through anything right now at all. Life might be great for you , and that is wonderful. If that’s your season, then let those without trouble pray for those who are in it. But there are also seasons when the weight of life feels unbearable ; when tests and trials seem so great that they overshadow everything else.

For someone reading this today, you may have a loved one who is sick, and you feel helpless. Someone else may be battling depression or carrying guilt from past mistakes. Maybe you grew up in a loving home, but stepping into the real world felt like walking into a storm. Or perhaps life has been one long, rough climb, and you’re tired of trying.

These are real struggles , and they should be talked about in the church. We are living in a time where mental illness and emotional pain are at an all-time high. Some people only read about it, while others live through it every single day. But hear this truth today: whatever weight the world is trying to crush you with, it is no match for our GREAT GOD!

You may have tried everything : advice, distractions, even giving up ; but have you truly turned it over to Him? Today’s scripture covers every hard thing we could ever face. Evil, pain, and heartbreak are real, but they do not win. Why? Because the Greater One lives inside of you.

If you have accepted Christ, you are His child : loved, seen, and chosen. 1 John 4:4 reminds us: You are from God. That means you belong to the King of Kings. If you’ve felt unseen, unloved, or unworthy, God says, “You are Mine.” ❤️

You’ve already won because the Greater One within you is stronger than anything against you. He is your strength when you are weak and your defender when you feel attacked. You don’t have to walk in defeat because victory is already yours : not because of your power, but because of His.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that You are greater than anything that comes against me. When life feels heavy, help me to remember that I am Your child and that You live within me. Strengthen my heart and renew my faith in Your power and presence. Lord, I lift up those who are battling depression, fear, sickness, or hopelessness today — wrap them in Your love and remind them that victory is already theirs through You. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen. 🙏
