🕊️ PRAY HERE DEVOTION 🕊️
Are You For Real?

Scripture: Titus 1:16 (NIV)

“They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.”

Devotion: I had a prophetic dream last night that showed me what lukewarmreally looks like to God. Self-proclaimed believers were not giving God a real yes. They confessed salvation with their lips, but their hearts were far from Him, and it showed clearly in how they were living.

You may be reading this and immediately thinking about other people, but pause for a moment. This devotion may also be a word for you.

When I woke up, Titus 1:16 came strongly to my mind. The scripture says they claim to know God, but deny Him by their actions. In other words, “I’m saved,” “I have a relationship with God,” “God knows my heart”, yet the lifestyle tells a different story.

Let me make this plain with some relatable examples.

1. Church workers serving publicly while living double lives. 👥

(Ushers, choir members, leaders, helpers)

They serve faithfully on Sunday, but live Monday through Saturday with no prayer life, no restraint, and no conviction. Instead of allowing God to transform them, they excuse their behavior by saying, “God understands.”

That’s not grace. That’spresumption.

2. Believers who are loud online, but careless in real life. 🙃

Scripture in bios, but cruelty in comments.

Worship playlists, but gossip-filled conversations.

Claiming intimacy with God while habitually dishonoring people.

Jesus said we would be known by ourfruit, not our posts, captions, titles, or platforms.

3. Worship leaders who lead songs; but not lives. 😮‍💨

Publicly singing about holiness, surrender, and obedience, while privately living in unrepentant sexual sin, manipulation, or addiction.

When confronted, they say, “God knows my heart,” instead of changing their behavior.

That’s not weakness. That’s arefusal to submit.

I could go on with examples , but I’ll stop here.

The goal of this devotion is not to condemn; but to examine. Acknowledging these things in ourselves is the first step toward aligning our words and actions so that they glorify God rather than deny Him.

Take a moment today to search your heart, not before the world, but before God. He loves you. He wants truth in the inward parts. And He will help you with the hard stuff if you let Him in.

Prayer:Father, search my heart and expose anything in me that does not reflect You. Remove hypocrisy, lukewarm faith, and self-deception. Align my words, actions, and heart with Your truth. I want to honor You not just with my lips, but with my life.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
