40 Days of Prayer! Day 21

Praying to Know Right from Wrong.

Written By Maranda Kelley

Sometimes the wrong thing feels right because it feels good in the moment. It’s easy to get caught up in what’s fun, exciting, or even popular, especially when everyone around you seems to be doing the same. But just because something feels good doesn’t mean it’s good for you. The wrong choices often come with hidden costs—regret, stress, or consequences that show up later. On the other hand, doing what’s right isn’t always easy, popular, or fun. It might mean standing out, saying no when others say yes, or making sacrifices that feel uncomfortable at first. But the right path always benefits you in the long run. It builds your character, protects your peace, and leads to a life that’s more meaningful and fulfilling.

Proverbs 14:12

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Sugar and salt both look the same, but they are very different.

You don’t wanna be unsure about your next choice. Some decisions can take your life into an entirely different direction from what you planned. Life is to precious to take risky chances by making choices without praying first. God knows what’s best for you, even when you can’t see it yourself. When you take the time to pray and ask for His guidance, He helps you figure out the right thing to do—even if it’s harder or doesn’t make sense at first. Maybe He’ll put a thought in your heart, show you something through the Bible, or even speak through someone you trust. God doesn’t just want you to make random choices; He wants you to walk a path that leads to peace, purpose, and real joy. May this encourage you to seek His guidance for your life.

God bless you!
