Our Prayers Invite God to Move Freely.
Written By Maranda Kelley

Our prayers are more than spoken words; they are an open invitation for God to step into our lives with His divine presence and power to intervene for us. Prayer is an act of surrender, where we lay down our own plans and give God personal permission to guide, and transform our circumstances. It is through this sincere communication that we acknowledge His authority and welcome His perfect will into our hearts. When we pray, we invite God to take His rightful place in our lives, trusting Him to work beyond what we can see or imagine. In prayer, His peace replaces our anxiety, His strength overcomes our weakness, and His wisdom illuminates our path, bringing clarity, purpose, and breakthroughs we could never achieve alone. At that point, anything is possible.
Luke 5:29
"Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them."
After (Levi) Matthew accepted Jesus’ call to follow Him, he was so overjoyed by his new purpose and faith that he threw a celebration to honor Jesus. This wasn’t just any party—it was a gathering filled with Matthew’s friends, many of whom were fellow tax collectors and people society looked down on. Matthew didn’t just want to celebrate; he wanted to share the life-changing experience of meeting Jesus with the people in his life. He opened his home and heart, showing that following Jesus isn’t about isolating yourself but about bringing others into the joy, hope, and love you’ve found. It’s a beautiful example of how our personal transformation can inspire us to invite others to experience God’s grace too. I love the way Matthew celebrated his faith and acceptance of Jesus. Today we should follow his lead and do the same. Maybe not throw an expensive party as he did; but do share Jesus with your family and friends.
God bless you!
