Scripture: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)
Devotion: Life brings tough times to us all: different seasons, different situations ; but without the peace of God or self-control, you might crash out. This modern phrase means losing it, blacking out, or having a total mental and emotional breakdown. It’s become a dangerous mindset in today’s culture ; dressed up as something normal, justifiable, or even cool. But it’s really a spiritual and mental attack.
Some think “crashing out” makes others pay more attention to their pain, or scare people away to isolate themselves; but it’s only a trap that leads to destruction. Saying “I’m about to crash out” means you’re close to doing something reckless or harmful. The peace that God gives will keep you from losing your mind in tough times. His peace will calm you and give you clarity, even in chaos. You’ll find yourself able to think clearly and respond in faith instead of fear.
The world offers a false peace through marijuana, pills, alcohol, drugs, or other addictions ; but those things only numb pain temporarily and cause deeper damage. As today’s scripture says, “Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid.” Fear makes people act impulsively, dangerously, and destructively. Let God be your peace. He will give you the strength, wisdom, and faith to overcome every battle.
Don’t crash out ; pray it out! God is the answer to your problems. Mental illness is at an all time high! You may not suffer or relate to today’s devotion; but you may know someone who would be blessed by this message of encouragement today. Share it and let’s pray together for all who are affected by this trend of crashing out.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for being my peace in every storm. When my heart feels overwhelmed, help me to rest in Your presence instead of reacting in fear. Remove every anxious thought and replace it with Your calm and wisdom. Teach me to trust You completely, and help me lead others to Your peace.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

People are crashing out and committing murder, suicide, and destroying families. It is a real thing for a lot of people in our world today. I am praying that everyone who suffers from this is healed 🙏
