Are derivatives easier when you understand slope?
The idea of slope becomes much more interesting when students see how it connects to derivatives. I once understood a derivative better after comparing two points on a curve and watching what happened as they moved closer. While studying the topic, I searched for do my calculus class because I was stuck, but practicing slope examples helped me more. Do you think understanding basic algebra makes derivatives easier?
