Scripture: âAnd surely I am with you always, even to the very end of the age.â â Matthew 28:20
Devotion: Maybe before today, you had never heard or read this scripture and did not know that God is with you. Like right nowâHe is with you. You never have to feel lonely or face things alone. Why not acknowledge the presence of the One who can supply all your needs? (Philippians 4:19 â âAnd my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.â)
Let this devotion today be a new discovery for you: you have an Advocate, a Friend, a Father, and whatever else you need in Jesus.
For many of us who already know He is with us, we often live day to day as if He doesnât exist, or we simply forget His presence. Think about it; how many times have you rushed through your day, stressed out, making decisions, worrying, and never once acknowledged God was right there with you?
We sing songs like âWhat a Friend We Have in Jesusâ and feel comforted, but then we turn around and donât treat Him like a friend. Friends talk. Friends trust. Friends help one another. Why not treat Jesus like the best friend He truly is? Talk to Him, trust Him, and ask Him for help. âIn all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.â (Proverbs 3:6)
Think about how differently today can go for you if you acknowledge His presence. You donât have to worry, panic, or break down when life catches you by surprise. Why? Because you have a Super Friend in Jesus.
There are so many scriptures about Him helping us. I challenge you today: open your Bible and find the ones that speak directly to your situation. Let His Word remind you; you are never alone.
Prayer: Father, thank You for reminding me today that I am never alone. You are with me right now and every moment of my life. Forgive me for the times I have lived like You were not there. Help me to acknowledge You in all my ways, to lean on You as my Friend, Father, and Guide. Fill me with the assurance of Your presence and let me live today with peace, strength, and confidence knowing that I am never alone.
In Jesusâ name, Amen.
