Scripture: “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19
Devotion: We all have needs: financial, emotional, medical, mental, and spiritual. Take a moment and think of something you need right now. Now, consider what sources you are depending on to meet those needs. Does God use people and situations to bless us? Yes, He does; but He is the source. Too often, we lack the faith to bring our needs to God and truly believe Him to provide. In Genesis 22:8, Abraham had faith that God would provide the lamb he needed, and Jehovah Jireh did just that. God is still Jehovah Jireh, our provider. There is nothing you could ever need that He cannot supply. But if you trust other sources more than you trust Him, you may delay or even block the blessing He has for you. Today, turn to God as your source. Trust Him in faith, tell Him what you need, and believe that He will do it.
Prayer: Lord, I come to You today acknowledging that You are my true source. Forgive me for the times I’ve leaned more on people or things than on You. I place my needs: financial, emotional, physical, and spiritual in Your hands, trusting that You will provide. Strengthen my faith to wait on You and to believe You for everything I need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
