Scripture: âAnd Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint⌠And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.â â Genesis 25:30-32
Devotion: Have you ever gone grocery shopping while hungry? Suddenly everything looks good, and you find yourself fighting not to give in to cravings. Hunger has a way of making us desperate for instant satisfaction. Thatâs exactly what happened to Esau. In his moment of weakness, he sacrificed his inheritance for a bowl of stew. Itâs the kind of moment that makes us want to yell, âNo! Donât do it!â But once he ate, the hunger passed, yet what he lost could never be regained.
The enemy works the same way. He looks for our weak moments and tempts us to make quick decisions that can lead to lifelong regret. Many have fallen into lust, anger, greed, or desperation, only to face consequences that robbed them of blessings. Are you in a desperate state today? Instead of giving in to pressure, stop and pray. God will lead you, strengthen you, and help you choose wisely; so you donât lose what He has promised you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me not to make rash decisions in moments of weakness. Strengthen me to wait on You and trust Your guidance. Keep me from traps of the enemy and teach me to value the blessings Youâve given me.
In Jesusâ name, Amen.

God I thank you that you have saved me from making rash decisions and washed me clean from all unrighteousness. I pray that you continue to cover me and keep my head on straight when I feel weak strengthen me. In Jesus name Amen!
