🕊️ PRAY HERE DEVOTION 🕊️ Hear the Word to Fuel Your Faith

Scripture: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” – Romans 10:17

Devotion: How full is your faith tank today? Are you running low? Whether you’re on a quarter tank or half full, you can always be refilled by hearing the Word of God. Our scripture today reminds us that faith comes by hearing the Word. But how can we hear unless someone preaches or shares the story of Christ Jesus? That’s why it’s so important to make space to hear the Word of God.

The enemy knows this truth, which is why he works overtime to keep you from it. He’ll distract you, make you too busy, or convince you that skipping church doesn’t matter. And even if you make it to church, he’ll find ways to distract you so that you don’t really hear. Some people use Sundays to shop, catch up on chores, or simply relax. But if we constantly avoid opportunities to hear the Word, how can we expect to have strong faith?

The truth is, we live in a time where God’s Word is everywhere. Growing up, you either went to church or maybe watched a preacher on TBN. Today, sermons and Bible teachings are accessible on your phone, social media, podcasts, and YouTube. We don’t have to wait until Sunday to get filled up anymore. We are without excuse.

If you’ve been struggling to believe or wondering why your faith feels weak, it may be because you haven’t been hearing enough of God’s Word. Without the Word pouring into your ears and heart, God will feel more like a stranger and hope will be hard to hold onto. But the solution is simple: open your ears to hear, open your heart to receive, and watch your faith rise. Go from empty to full and be fueled by the Word of God.

Prayer: Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of Your Word that strengthens my faith. Help me to make hearing Your Word a daily priority. Remove distractions and excuses that keep me from growing in faith. Lord, open my ears to hear and my heart to receive, so that I may be filled with hope, faith, and courage to follow You.
